01 Project Background
Founded in 2004, Luxshare Precision provides manufacturing solutions for consumer electronics, automotive products and enterprise communications, spanning components, modules and system assembly.
A Luxshare Precision subsidiary introduced a facial recognition gate system to modernize entrance and exit management. The project brought identity verification and physical pedestrian access together within one entrance solution.
02 Access Requirements
The central objective was to use identity verification as part of entrance management.
For this type of application, the recognition terminal and gate need to work as a coordinated system, connecting the decision to grant access with the physical passage through the entrance.
03 Integrated Access Solution
The deployed solution combined facial recognition with pedestrian gates. The recognition terminal provided the identity-verification function, while the gate formed the physical access point.
This approach made the entrance itself part of the access-management process, linking identity verification to gate operation at the point of entry.
04 How the Access Process Works
In a typical facial recognition gate configuration, the terminal verifies the approaching user’s identity and the access-control system checks permission. Once entry is authorized, the gate opens to allow passage.
